The scientific name of the species is Felis bengalensis; it looks like a common domestic feline, but with a longer body, longer legs and thick long tail. The head of these animals is relatively small with a narrow muzzle and large eyes.

There are about 10 subspecies of these beautiful felines. Their size varies from 25 to 32 inches; they weigh between 7 and 15 pounds. Males are larger than females, like it is with all felines. Cheetah cats raised on special farms are not for hunting.
